Jessica works as a Producer and Development Manager with the multi-award winning production company Princess Pictures (Summer Heights High, John Safran Race Relations, It’s a Date). While at Princess Pictures Jessica produced the ABC comedy pilot Bleak with the Katering creators Kate McLennan and Kate McCartney, as well as The Goddam Election! with John Safran, a one hour election special for SBS. She is currently producing Network Ten’s new comedy series How to Stay Married starring Peter Helliar and Lisa McCune.
In 2014 Jessica went to London on a Film Victoria Fellowship to do Story & Business Development with UK production company Company Pictures.
From 2009-2014 Jessica worked at Werner Film Productions, working across all three seasons of the multi-award winning Teen Drama series Dance Academy. Starting out as a Producer’s Assistant on Series 1, she became Associate Producer of Series 2 and Co-Produced the third and final series. Jessica also produced all three Dance Academy websites, which was ABC3 & ZDF’s most popular platforms as well as winning three Kidscreen Awards for Best Teen/Tween Companion Website. She also made content for ABC’s iView platform to support each series as well as create scripted content to bridge the on-air time between series one and three.
Prior to Werner Film Production Jessica worked on Rush, a thirteen part adult drama series for Southern Star and Network Ten where she worked as script coordinator and she was also contracted as the Co-writer/Producer/Director of the 13 x 6 minute episodes ‘Behind the Scenes’ series for their online platform.
Jessica started her career at Swinburne with an Advanced Diploma in Film+TV. She then completed a one year Producing course at Victorian College of the Arts in 2007 where she graduated with Honours. While still completing her postgraduate studies, Jessica successfully won the highly coveted Film Vic Attachment Program as Producer Attachment on the children’s series The Elephant Princess with Jonathan Shiff Productions.
